My Background
I have spent the past fifteen years inside Bangladesh’s banking sector — starting on the ground, moving through progressively senior roles, and learning what actually separates the people who move forward from those who stay stuck. My career has taken me from Dhaka Bank, where I served as Assistant Vice President, to HSBC Bangladesh, where I currently hold the position of Vice President.
Along the way, I completed my MBA at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka — one of Bangladesh’s most rigorous academic programmes. That combination of on-the-ground corporate experience and structured business education gives me a perspective that is both practical and analytical.
I have mentored dozens of colleagues — in banking and beyond — through career decisions, salary negotiations, job changes, and the specific kind of quiet stagnation that many Bangladesh professionals face in their mid-career years. They were capable. They were ambitious. They just lacked a clear, honest picture of where they stood and what to do next.
Why I Built LAGBro
The name LAGBro comes from a very real feeling — the feeling of lagging behind, of watching your peers accelerate while you’re not sure why you’re not. It is a feeling I have seen across hundreds of professionals in Bangladesh, regardless of their industry or seniority.
